BRAC has won the 2017 International Award for Excellence in Promotion of Quality Education for all. This award was given to BRAC Vice Chairperson Ahmad Mushtaq Raja Choudhury at UN Office in Geneva, Switzerland on Wednesday. Prince Abdul Aziz bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, Special Representative of Prince Prince Talal and son of Azifand, gave the prize. Rani Sophia of Spain was also present at the award ceremony.
BRAC's press release said the Arab Gulf Program for Development (AGIFAND), the development organization of Arab and Persian Gulf countries, has been awarding it since 1999. The fourth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) for this year's award is to submit the names of 76 projects on "quality education". A group expert on the issue related to the issue was announced on 28th February in the meeting of the President of Azifand President Prince Talal bin Abdul Aziz announced the names of the awardees, the committee member, Queen Sofia of Spain
