BNP senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has alleged that the Election Commission failed to create an environment for free and fair elections. The Election Commission has fixed December 30 for foreign observers not to be in the election.
Rizvi complained to the press conference at BNP's central office in Nayapaltan on Tuesday.
Rizvi said, foreign observers, ambassadors of different countries, high commissioners and officials will be on holiday due to Christmas, Thirty First and Christian New Year. The EC announces the election day on December 30 under the tactical direction of the government to select a big vote stolen.

Rizvi said that police arrested more than 50 leaders and activists of the BNP from November 11 till now. He condemned the arrest of the leader-workers and protested. He demanded unconditional release with the withdrawal of the case against the leader-workers.
Regarding EVM, Rizvi said, the Chief Election Commissioner had announced the use of EVM in limited form and ignored public opinion. But two days ago, Election Commissioner Brigadier General (retd) Shahadat Hossain announced the use of EVMs in 80 to 100 seats. Rizvi called this announcement 'a deep plot'.
