Myanmar ambassador summoned in connection with border killings


Dhaka: Myanmar's ambassador to Dhaka, Luin U., has summoned the Dhaka Metropolitan Police for firing at Ukhia border.

On Wednesday (November 7th) Bangladesh expressed strong protest in this regard. But as always, Myanmar denied responsibility for the incident.

According to sources, on November 4 last year, the Myanmar Border Guard Police (BGB) opened fire on the area of ​​Uqiaia, in the border of Bangladesh-Myanmar border. On that day, 41 rounds of bullet fired three rounds of BGB. Two youths, including Bangladeshi and Rohingya, were injured in the incident.

Myanmar Ambassador to Myanmar called on the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday. A diplomatic protest was handed over to Myanmar's ambassador in the office of Delwar Hossain, Director General of the Department of South and East Asia Department of the Ministry. The people responsible for the incident were asked to take action against them. However, Myanmar's ambassador, as always, denied the responsibility of the incident.
